Drive Electric Earth Month

Drive Electric Earth Month is a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles throughout the month of April. In addition to being better for the environment, electric vehicles are more fun to drive, more convenient to fuel and less expensive to operate than gasoline vehicles.

DRIVE ELECTRIC EARTH DAY OMAHA

Sunday April 26 – 2025 – 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Elmwood Park, 67th and Pacific Streets (Elmwood Park Road), Omaha, NE 68106

Visitors saw Electric vehicles on display and got answers to questions on models, tax credits, charging and more. 

Visitors saw, touched and sat in the driver’s seat in our variety of electric vehicles on display. Not just automobiles, but electric-assist bicycles, and a battery-electric transit bus!

The Nebraska Sierra Club and Eastern Nebraska Electric Vehicle Association held their Annual Omaha Area DEEM Show. Our display and booth were part of the Earth Day Omaha Celebration at Elmwood Park. The event was free to the public and provided entertainment for all ages.

The vehicle display was in the parking lot on the southwest side of the park, and our booth providing EV information was adjacent to the north side of the vehicle display.

Visitors met the many enthusiastic EV owners who were displaying their vehicles.

Restrooms and refreshments were available at the park.

Last Year’s Earth Day Event: We had 23 electric vehicles plus an Omaha Transit battery-electric bus. In addition to many private owners, we had five dealers display new vehicles.

DRIVE ELECTRIC EARTH DAY – 2023

Earth Day Omaha 2023 was at Elmwood Park on Saturday, April 22 – 11am – 6pm

We showcased electric vehicles (autos, buses, bikes, etc. ). We staffed an information booth with lots of handouts for participants.

DRIVE ELECTRIC EARTH DAY (DEED) -2022

We helped celebrate the environmental and cost-saving benefits of electric vehicles at Omaha and Lincoln Earth Days 2016-2019.

After a two-year absent due to Covid, we resumed our participation in 2022.
